Affiliation with the Emerging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) Network is open to current, future, and retired local government leaders.  To sign up, please review our membership classifications and fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Once you have submitted your membership form we will review it and send you a PayPal invoice for membership dues (if applicable).

Membership Classifications

Memberships are good for one full calendar year – January through December. If you join anytime in the remainder of 2012 then your membership will be good through December 2013.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP – FREE

Student and Active Member Benefits

Any person who is registered as a student in a college or university program that relates to local government.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP – $20 

Student and Active Member Benefits

  • Individuals who currently hold a local government position within a municipality, county, special district, university, or state agency;

  • Individuals who work for an employer who does business with and has close ties to one or more units of local government (these include, but are not limited to, organizations such as law firms, audit firms, banks, accounting firms, and non-profit organizations);

  • Retired local government professionals.

ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBERS – $250 

Corporate/Organization Member Benefits

Any local government organization or organization with ties to local government (these include, but are not limited to, cities, counties, organizations such as law firms, audit firms, banks, accounting firms, and non-profit organizations).

  • As a reminder – as a corporate/organizational member, your employees receive member pricing for events. You will also receive 10 complimentary individual memberships with your corporate/organization membership. We will be in contact to acquire a list of employee names and emails who should be included on the ELGL listserv and members-only web postings.
